Bank of America: Friends Again

ARCHIVE 2017

I worked with Aardman Nathan Love to create a series of animations for Bank of America's friends again campaign.

My role was to develop characters and style frames based on a supplied script. The job started out as a pitch, but was fully realised after having won the pitch.

Starting with a complete secondary colour palette, the aesthetic was whittled down to the brands primary palette. A challenging exercise to ensure characters and scene changes were apparent despite similar colours.

Characters evolved too, making sure a variety of ethnicities were represented, and stylistic changes took place to ensure they could be animated within the timeframe (no plaid shirts!).

Having a graphic design background, I also explored type options and created assets for social media.

Finally, all assets were supplied as live illustrator files, grouped and layered to speed up process when handed over to the team of animators.
