3 Rascals Ice-cream Truck

When asked by Airship to design the decals for an ice-cream/refrigerator truck they'd purchased - they were expecting me to simply apply existing assets and illustrations. What they weren't expecting was me to create a connected sub-brand and also a narrative that would tie it into the Airship universe.

When I pitched the idea that rather than just calling the truck 'Airship Ice-cream' we could have fun with the idea that it appears at different location. My first suggestion was some guerilla style 'secret society of ice-cream' that do social media drops hinting at it's location. 

A requirement was that the Airship connection had to be apparent. For one they'd be using existing branded cups for the icecream as well as coffee infused flavours.

This inspired me to create a backstory that an Airship stock (cups, coffee etc.) had been stolen by 3 of it's former staff - some rascally racoons. But they didn't stop there - they also made off with Airships refrigerator truck. The decals then show them midway through reskinning the truck. Painting over the existing colours and crossing out the Airship logo was a way for me to hint at the brand while also introducing something new.
